With the exception of perhaps 2 or 3 spots.

One may first ask, "exactly what do you want to do there?

At the moment if you want waves, Avalon has the distinction of a recent nearby shark attack, so is relatively uncrowded.
Thinking of going out myself soon, it's looking nice.

Certainly sounds like it. Put a seeming innocuous post up, then follow up later once a discussion has started with something they supposedly 'found' to answer the original question.

Appears to be routed through a US based VPN too, though nowadays lots of people like to do that so maybe legit.

There is the very slight chance it is genuine however, so will wait and see. Unless another mod reckons the chance is too slight to be realistic...

I once met this old native who taught me how to check for sharks.
He dipped his finger in the water sniffed it then tasted it sat for a while and then slowly said ders sharks in there
I asked him how he new he said "it's salty"
