anyone out there using "shark shields" on their boards? Startin to get a bit nervous about things over here in WA.

Nah, we take turns at applying Burlie to our boards, or you sail with someone who doesn't gybe well

Does help that we haven't had much wind for the last 3 months.

Sooner or later one will take a 5 year old then something may be done but until then it's seriously fast water starts sharts

No, but there are a lot of people in another thread using shart shields.

haha, i actually never drop a gybe windsurfing in warnbro sound, the guys i sail with is sometimes 50/50, im more likely to break something, which has happened, its the worst feeling, 2 1/2 hours is my longest swim back, it took me 1 3/4 hours to rescue tom on a easterly, 15-25 knots gusty 7.8m sail slightly off the wind

i slept so good that night, didnt see any sharks that day.

A friend from work ties a diving shark shield to the rear strap...
