It's the big brother starship...it shoots out huge rooster tails when gybing ..it s cool when you want to splash your mates ..I know I'm just a big kid ..and yes ..the water is still warm June - July ... bbrrrr.

Hey Tardy, i sail Golden Beach. Thats Caloundra in the background. Nice water, but nowhere near as awesome n clear as your pics. Mezmerizing... Whats your location?

ah ..yes thought i recognised it ,i've sailed there a few times ,when Deta {sunshine coast sailboards}had his neilpryde & JP show and sail day .
good spot ,we started off on 6,4,with a 106 JP RIDE board ,by the end of the day it was 30-40 knots ,we had 87 litre boards and 3,8 metre sails ...couldn't believe my luck ...then followed by a free sausage sizzle all supplied ,and tried all the gear ...what a day ...Didn't need much rocking to go to sleep that night..zzz after beers of course ..have you thought of getting a shorter ,and wider board ?...later down the track..keep the mistral ,still have a mistral escape ,i drag out in 8-10 knot.

Haha, sweet day,Dieter has just sold up after 30 plus years.Yep i used to ride shortboards 80- 90s( Cornish n Wildaction). Started sailing again 4months ago, +30kg. Hence the longboard. Ive got a collection of older shortboards to jump on. (Metal Rock ,Vision 161, SS125L)But i can sail the IMCO from 5kts to 25kts easily. Ok its not as quick as a shortboard. But i regularly see 23-25kts boardspeed. New Cheetah , boom n mast allows easier waterstarts than my 90s race gear. So shortboards are just around the corner. Ooohh Yeah!!!
