I dont know if this has already been posted but its pretty funny...in a weird french kind of way....nice sailing too.
Hi, GWS,
You have to build them, BUT.....
Some tricky windsurfers tried to make a ramp at one of my local beaches, many years ago. The ramp was made up of a number of plastic pipes (can't recall the sizes, but they were probably about 70mm OD, joined with pipe cement). The ramp failed very quickly because the designer didn't take into account the stress on the joints caused by wave action, the bending moments caused at one end and not the other and when the sailors actually started to hit the ramp, it failed catastrophically.
The moral is: the ramps look easy to build, but there's decent engineering behind the design.
Hope this helps.
actually it's the same ramp as you would use for wakepark in my opinion, with that expensive plastic sh1t to provide a good slide... so you need few 2x4s and plywood pannels, of course some flotation has to be provided.
The tricky part is to make a custom board for this purpose...if you've seen the other vid (
