I'm a goal-orientated person. I like to have something to aspire to in a season

This summer I will:

1. Crack a 22kt alpha
2. Get more confident with my jumps. (I can do them, but awkwardly)
3. Do a sweet duck gybe (I have before, but lost my mojo!)

That list will seem trivial to many sailors, but if I manage them, I've become a better sailor.

So what do you want to do this season?

Wouldn't mind a 35 knts PB, I seem stuck at 33/34...
A couple of racing gybes would satisfy me also !

Good topic,

My aims this year,

master quick tacks, so close!
Jump more, no fear
Wave sail more, some fear

....try some freestyle (just bought a freestyle board so better at least give it a go!)

I'm going to try and sail at least 3 times a week.....hopefully that will make me a better sailor

Crack 30 knots.
Get comfy with gybes- on both tacks. Currently suck on either side, but make 80 percent in a wobbly kind of fashion.
Jump like Evil Knievel (without the crashing) across ocean swells and waves.
Get comfy wave sailing cross-onshore. Fine cross off, suck opening the sail on top turns.
Buy a slalom board.
Buy a dedicated wave board with heaps of fins around 90 litre.
Learn to chop hop on flat lakes.
Do some fast up-wind 360's
And most importantly have heaps of fun! So far, that bit I'm good at

Be able to consistently gybe in chop on all 3 of my boards ( yeah right) preferably with the occasional planing exit in flatter areas..Get my jumps going on both tacks with tail pulled to windward in air & hang under and nose first landings..my shoulder is telling me that ones not on track..
Stay fit enough to sail and enjoy it..Try & get out twice a week.
Enjoy the journey & don't get [}:)] when I stack it..
