Done a bit of sailing around the WC of Victoria visiting family didn't find any true wave sailing at it was mostly 100lt and 5.3 weather and it was mid July. But some fun cross/cross-on jumping available. It's cold though don't forget the steamer. A trip down the country to hood River is definitely worth it though some of the most fun sailing I've done every person in the town is a windsurfer or kitesurfer.
