I'm just wondering how many people still get out on old vintage boards?

If there are still a few of us around we should get together for a sail.
I'm picking up an old TC Spacer tomorrow to add beside my old Wayler.

Hope you have fun on the TC, my first board (brand new, I was so excited) was one and it was appalling. I think it predated the Spacer.

I'm looking at using the TC Spacer as a step up from the Wayler as the TC has the retractable dagger board. I Also have a HiFly 500, that my mate and I went halves in, it's a really nice board to use as its a lot lighter then the Wayler.

I'm heading upto Lake Cootharaba this weekend for a good leisurely sail, I'm just hoping the wind doesn't pick up as strong as it did a couple of weeks ago at the Wind Wanderes Day.

Anyways I would love to catch up with some fellow vintage board riders and get some tips off ya's.

The wayler is not a bad board.
The TC might be a bit more fun in a blow, however, back in the day, one of our locals sailed an original wayler with an upgraded rig and used to get around a triangle course much quicker than most of the more exotic boards.

Cool, although I have not long had the Wayler it is a very nice board to ride.

Well just got back from picking up the TC Spacer, Very nice board although a bit scratch up from sitting outside for so long. Sail is in fairly good condition but missing the battons, the mast footing rubber is broken, but i'm thinking a piece of hose with a thick spring up the guts to replace that. should work I hope. the main thing I am already liking is that I can lift it myself as the Wayler is so heavy.

Hope to have the TC ready by this weekend for the Lake

hello, you wouldn't by any chance have the mast foot you would be willing to part with? the rubber in mine broke when I pulled it apart yesterday. I am looking at trying to replace it with a bit of thick hose and a tension spring which should last longer than the old rubber thing used.

Also would u be willing to part with the foot straps if they are still good? That's the only thing missing

Can I get some pics on the mod u done if possible please? I just fixed mine with a stiff tension spring and garden hose, I think it is better than the original now
