Wow! That came an went fast!

Anyone know what the story was with Mistral?

First they dropped one of the best designers and most successful board designs ever with CL, then they made a big HO-HA about the VTR, and then they completely disappeared from Windsurfing

Methinks there was some serious burning of multiple entities done there.

Neil's started up Windtech again ( so no longer with mistral). I'm guessing he's held exclusive rights to the system, as his new windtech boards have them (although I don't think he's kept the VTR label). Mr Slowboats designs may come out under tribal (just saying what I'm seeing )

Dunno what mistral are are up to?

Yes the website of this once proud brand confirms it is now nothing more but a soggy cartoon of its former self.

Is there any real progress on Mr Boat's designs being made by Tribal?

No solid story to tell yet. Just wild rumours.

There is a Mistral Challenge Flex hiding behind the Mistral Naish, 5th from the left.

More on the Mistral Challenge Flex:

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/General/radical-designs-from-the-past?page=1

And the Tinkler Tail:

http://www.surfer.com/surfing-magazine-archive/surfing-news/tinkler-tail-100505/

www.surfresearch.com.au/1976_Tinklertail_Surfer_Jul_v17n2p142.html.htm

Bob Tinkler first started working on perfecting flex in stand up shortboards after living and surfing with George Greenough and Bob McTavish in Queensland Australia in 1967.... then into Windsurfing via the Mistral Challenge Flex ....... to where we are today... with the new developments by ATT and Windtech in windsurfing......and endless progression. I suspect ATT is much lighter than a Tinkler Tail and it follows much lighter than the MCF.

Windsurf video of the year Matt+Neil. WA attitude to promo put a smile on my dial and glad to see your love of the sport translating into new and fun products.
Kinda recognise the early 90's HUT board in the background, built to last and go fast... really fast
