UK knew there will be kitesurfing for Rio 2016

The poms knew ther will be kitesurfing for Rio 2016.
They are already doing a training camp. A friend of mine in Weymouth took a picture:

mate apparently the pom's the frenchies and the polish are more shocked than anyone right now, they had no idea it was coming and they have like the biggest windsurfing programs in the world right the way from the youth through to the olympic level

Was reading the french specialized press, they are disgusted.... so much money , effort, training , youth ... all thrown away....

Haha! Like it, its the kite festival here this weekend where all the little kiddies and geeky dads get to fly their kites on the beach

i agree with most of what you say, the olympics really have lost touch. it is not an amature event anymore. so many sports do not belong there.

The sea keeps taking it back, they dig out back out every march ready for the tourists (known as piles - hang around in groups and are a pain in the backside!) to leave their rubbish on in the summer. They spent weeks doing it this year, just as they finished we had strong easterly onshore winds that meant the sea reclaimed it straight away!
