I'm getting my gear back out of the shed for the first time in the last 10 years as my daughter is now old enough to start learning. I may as well get my gear together as well!
1st job will be replacing all the tendons in my bases but thought it's worthwhile also replacing the safety ropes. Bases are Neil Pryde and North.
What ropes are people using for UJ safety ropes? I'm thinking 2mm dyneema, does that sound right?

Dear Stan, Normally I use 3mm or 4 mm. 2mm is thin.
If it is standard it is 4mm downhaul rope. That enables you to simply tie a knot in the end. If you do that with 2mm you are risking it slipping throught the whole when most needed. Why over think it? Use old downhaul rope.
StanDingup said.. Old downhaul rope wouldn't fit, it needs to be a lot narrower. This photo should show the rope I'm trying to replace, the small white safety line...
Go to a yacht chandlery and match the required rope for your needs and specification.
