Hi all
I am planning a trip to Australia (East cost) this august and I am looking for best spots for windsurfing and place where to rent equipment.
I have been windsurfing for around 15 years, so I have a good experience. Can you please suggest me any place/website I can find some info
many thanks

Have a look at the location guide on windwanderers.org.au/ for the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay regions.

What I cannot find yet is any palce where I can rent the equipment. It would be too cumbersome to bring it from italy!!!

Wolf,Green Island off the coast from Cairns has great wind at that time of year, small to medium sized waves & great flat water for blasting .The latest starboard & severne gear is available for hire.
The surrounds are amazing-rainforest backdrop/amazing reef -definitely worth checking out

also surf connect at sandgate for rentals. they are happy for you to take the gear away with you if you want to travel up to the lake or elsewhere

Hi guys
please help. I went through the websites you all suggested but I got lost.
I nned to understand spots where wind is most reliable and where I can rent equipment nearby.
I will be there in august. I try to check also in windguru but the names of the spots are different from what I found here,
Can you please give me some precise heads up?
Ideally I would like to find a spot with 20 knots and 2 meters wave....which is probable what every surfers would like!!! ;)
Please help me I can figure out a trip to Australia without windsurfing!!!
Hope to hear from you soon
Best
Wolf
Hang loose!!!!
PS today in italy clsoe to Rome we had a nice session....18 knots 1-1,5 meter waves!!!

How long are you staying? Are you coming specially to windsurf, because it's not a very windy time of year.

For Brisbane Goldcoast Area you should call surffx +61 7 5531 3199 (they will put you onto kirk I believe who hires gear) or surfconnect +61 7 3137 0500 as previously suggested. The websites are pretty terrible and don't have too much good information, best to call.

I second this. It's an amazing place to sail. Can rent all the gear you want straight off the beach so no need to bring any equipment anywhere.
