A mate has just found himself a Tiga Fun Cup.
The mast base is broken.
Does anyone know where to get another one or what could be used to fit Europin Mast Extensions to use more modern rigs?

The alloy on the bottom looks stuffed. If that slider works I'djust adapt any modern base onto it Glue n screw, whatever.

if you can take the rubber joint off the section going into the mast track ...
perhaps you can glue screw, etc into that piece - which looks like it needs epoxy, glue, etc
or ...
since you HAVE that piece, perhaps you can make a new one ??
know there are dudes here that would find that is a walk in the park
...hope it works out

yeah get a modern spin on base and use the existing track . you might have to cut a slot in it to get threaded plate / or nut in.
retro fit modern gear as Mark says.

if you go that way, this is what i did ... on a couple of Mistral longboards

It's easy for a dude with a lathe to reproduce a slug that fits into the original hole withe a 8 mm thread that will handle all the new stuff,.

With respect to the mast track try to keep it operating and I concur with Imax1. Please do not destroy the board and use a fixed connection. It will be better for sailing it using the sliding mast rack as well as enhance its value. A fixed connection (cp. instead of on the fly adjustment) was not how these boards were intended to be sailed in funboard racing. It should be possible to adapt the parts and there are ways to use and make the parts and retrofit them so they can work with modern rigs and extensions which facilitate use of latest sails. If you need expertise and/or need parts, Mark Taylor of Surfsail in Perth is very good for these type of jobs and highly professional and can for a small fee assist in the work needed and tooling. I assume there will be a similar firm operating in SA. If not get in touch with Mark as his company has the range of Chinook parts that can be adapted.

nothing is lost or damaged - just faster to get out on the water with a modern rig ...
sure you lose the adjustment on the fly, but that is also a skill / technique to be be learned / acquired ..

I bought a Tiga windsurf weeks ago, and it's the exact same mast track than you. The part sliding in the track is broken, and I was looking for a new one. It seems impossible to find one, so I will buy a modern spin, even if I would have prefered to keep the original system

I finally got around getting the job done.

A bottle of Jameson's and presto a nice shiny stainless plug.

I will find a shorter bolt so that I can ditch the plastic base.

Test driving this weekend I just hope the rest of the board holds together.
