This is a video taken yesterday at Stansbury South Australia. In the new year when the winds in Adelaide become off shore and none of the spots are working (with the exception of The Funnel), I like to come here for some flat water fun. This video shows how flat it is. I was on a 109L JP Supersport, a 5.5 Severne Gator, with a Makani 26cm weedwave fin (it doesn't do a too bad job). Tricky was on a 6.3 Loft Blade and an 87L Starboard iSonic (he would normally be on a 7m in this condition, but is recovering from a wrist operation). Water depth about 1 foot in most places in the video. It got better and the flat patch got bigger, but unfortunately my camera ran out of space. Nb/ the video was taken yesterday. Ignore the 2016 reference in the video. I'm writing 2016 for the next few weeks

According to that Google Maps, you launch from Adelaide and sail west for a while and then you're in StamStansbury...

Also, incredible footage J - that looks like great sailing.

Jacko: that's were Garath has moved to (Budgie). He was telling me it's the flattest water he has ever sailed.

Te Hau: Yes. There is weed and razor fish (clams), but that's what makes the water clean and so flat. So, weed fin is highly recommended, and booties are essential.
