I am about purchasing a North Gold RDM 430 mast for my 5.4 and 6.6 North X-Type freeride sails.
Later on I need to get a smaller sail, something in the 4.7 range.
Is there a sail with variotop maybe that could rig my new mast?
I see that North Sails suggest their new E-type sails to a 430 mast. Both the 4.5 and 4.9 sails but buying a 2014 sail is out of my budget right now..

Our club has a Natural 5.0 2007 with a vario head (and luff is 433-436). If they happen to have done a smaller size over the years, you might get lucky...But then that's just a natural (though in these size it should matter less)
I had a similar problem, I dont use the 4.7m very often and I didn't want to buy an extra 400 cm mast.
In the end, I went with a second hand Ezzy Wave Panther. It has an adjustable vario top and Ezzy rig on a constant curve mast (which I think North is)
When i was looking around there were not many 4.7m which could be rigged on a 430cm mast.
