I considered using broom handles for racks but decided to use 70x35mm timber instead, more solid. The materials cost $82 from Bunnings, which was less than broom handles. The studs in the wall were 500mm centres, and the racks are 1500mm apart on wall. The timber in each rack is 800mm long, with 710mm width usable. The rack spacings are multiples of 100mm.
Storage for fins and extensions and bases, fin covers removed in photo. Some ideas in old topic, but none used plastic storage tubs. 34L Under Bed Storage Container, W:390 H:155 L:790, $10 from Bunnings. Same tub to left in photo in previous post.
Hey joe , could we make money selling tiny whirligigs for smelly fin storage boxes ? " Pong no more " has a ring to it. Dont worry , I'm only on beer 4.
Hey, ive used some prefab shelving system. Each metal arm can support 55kg. So a sailboard or two wont be an issue. I slid 25mm electrical conduit over the metal arms to protect boards.Easy as. No nice new boards though!!
