Yep, Had them for over a year now and really love them. Good on wave sails up to 6.2 but you must find the sweet spot or they are hard on the arms. Instant power on or off and you know your lines are in the right spot when you can sail no-handed with these bad boys. They do take some getting use to though, I threw them away more then once.
yeah they cannot be beaten... they are about the best way to point-load your boom when you jump and accidentally hook in. Go for it!![]()
Have a pair never got comfortable with them, had trouble hooking in as the loop is narrower than a standard spaced pair.
Couldn't help thinking they were not doing my boom much good either loading it up at a single point like the previous post said as well....
Probably more for wave sailing, good for groveling out hooked in
I just put the regular ones, 1 cm apart. Makes the lines longer when your hooked in, and they go shorter when you hook out, which is what I prefer.![]()
I've just switched to these and at the same time gone from 24" lines to 28". Can't believe how long I persisted with short harness lines, longer ones feel a bit strange at first but I wouldnt switch back now.
As far as adjusting the position of the single point lines all I do is once I've rigged the sail I grab the boom with one finger to find the balance point and move the harness line to that point. I'm using these with wavesails only, 5.3m and smaller.
Don't know why you'd go with single-point when you can get the same result with standard (ie; push them together)...and have the option of spreading them if/when you choose to. I guess if you never have them more than 1" apart, they might save some seconds in adjustment time?
