Another windy day here in sea cliff. But where are all the other windsurfers?

Well, at least this doesn’t happen to them:

O-o-o-o-p s!

Even the seagulls came to look and laugh.

Sadly, despite all attempts at rescue, the injuries were too great and it had to be put down

You can drop a feather here (60km NE of Seacliff), infact, I bumped into a work mate at the shops who asked me to go fishing with him this arv at North Haven (I accepted). The wind is so unpredictable when it's hot here, and even more so when you have troughs hanging around. It's not worth wasting my day.

Monday and Tuesday is the day. The heat wave will give us these windy days and the evil trough will have moved east

Yes, this board is a crossover from sup/ windsurf and can be used for both. certainly saved a few pennies by not having ti buy 2 separate boards! also my favourite board for travelling as i only have to take one board instead of 2.

All now upgraded to kiting or at the local bowls club early bird feed.

yep i'm interested in the brand also flyingcab, and your feedback on it so far.
i'm considering a similar purchase (SUP / Windsurf).
I have been researching the 10'6 Ace Tech Wind and will trial it this weekend in WA hopefully.
The Go 151 could be an option too.

My wife is 20 weeks pregnant, i'm an intermediate windsurfer and expecting my windsurfing hours to drop next summer.
I haven't quite made the transition to small-board windsurfing and i'm starting to think that perhaps a comfortable big board that i can also SUP would get more use than anything else and I'd enjoy my time on the water on the rare occasion i get out. If i'm going out on small/medium board then i need to stick to the river because my skills do not permit ocean. If i'm going out on a bigger board i'll need more sail to get planing... but i could head out in the ocean because i'm always confident i can get back up on the board and cruise home.

Very interested in your thoughts so far on the SUP/Windsurf combo. What have you given up in performance? Do you use it more now or less than your previous gear?

Yes the board is an old Bic plastic thing... Around 2009 possibly.
A similar board is this one: http://www.isthmussailboards.com/2014-Bic-SUP-Wind-116/productinfo/BB14SUPW11/
I just pull the centre board out when I'm going for a SUP. It was a cheapie i found on Gumtree for around $300.
My other boards are just collecting dust in the shed out back since I'm using this 24/7
