I know that this has been mentioned but I thought it wouldn't hurt to raise it again.
I operate a shipping business and we save 2 to 3 people a month from scammers, generally it's laptops and phones. It happened again today so I thought Id mention it.
Typically it the PayPal scam and a request to ship the goods to Malaysia. we always do a quick on line search when asked to ship to dodgie countries. Pretty much instantly we found a thread naming the scammer Steve Williams at the address in Malaysia. also one for Sheila Williams and the other week for John doust. All of these are known scammers that have been operating for a long time and continue to get away with it. Doust has been operating for a decade.
The customer today even argued with us, explaining that he received a confirmation from PayPal. I sent him the link and asked him to check his PayPal account. He was very grateful.
So be very careful when dealing with OS on line buyers, a quick search on the web can save a lot of money and regret!
