My 5m died today so I need another. I've always had revos as they have been the only ones available 2nd hand in my budget price range..Would I notice any difference if I got a retro? Lake bump & jump ( or bump & crash if I go off todays performance..[}:)][}:)])
I don't think I'ver seen many retros for sale 2nd hand?
Also any other brands that would do the job - needs to be 5m as I have a 4.2m & a 5.8m..also cheap..I have constant curve masts - 430 55% lipstick..400 30% sunshine mast
I think the reason that Retros aren't listed second hand, is that people keep them, and there wouldn't be that many sold each year.
The Revos, being a wave sail, are sold and used much more, so you would be able to find them easier.
IMO you're better off buying new old stock. You don't know what you're getting with used sails. Some people actually dry their sails in the sun.
Not an option unfortunately very restricted budget. I don't but what's wrong with drying sails in the sun? Do they go brittle?
