the UK is one of the best places in the world to windsurf. so many good opportunities. i lived on the south coast for two years (brighton) and it wasn't like this, normally cross to cross on with wind-swell up to say, half mast) with atlantic ground swells not making it past Isle of Wight. go west to devon and cornwall and NW to wales however and there are so many amazing spots.

they have had an epic winter for wind and swell so far

It gets ruddy cold though and I've seen big grown men brought to tears by the defrost pain in hands after a session

spectacular, ridiculous and insane
words fail me
as an average joe windsurfer my wind max is somewhere around 25 knots
here, i have heard the 50 knot number bantered around
as a heavyweight - that would mean something like a 3m sail ??
what the H are these dudes sailing??
and i am still NOT sure Y ?

i am happy and grateful to see this and that no-one got hurt !!!

Im a novice windsurfer and don't have much of a clue.
What gear would these guys sail?
They must have such small sails. Any information?

Those cold winds (liked the hailstones bouncing along the beach bit in the video) are more powerful. 50 knots in a Cornwall winter is like 60 knots in the Canary Islands.

Who would have thought the smallest sailor would win? Absolutely stunning sailing from Thomas at all 3 events.

Great job by the camera and film crews.

I like this photo of Dany with the sail sheeted right out and the wind isn't just blowing the spray off the wave, its blowing bits of the wave off the wave.

They've shot their load too early Just listened to the latest shipping forecast and there is a very big storm with hurricane speed winds just about to hit the west of Scotland.

They sailed in one of the heaviest storms seen in decades overthere, have no channel etc etc, how tough do you wanna have it?

^ Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!

That might be the greatest windsurfing photograph I have ever seen!

By the way "Kernow bys vyken!" means "Cornwall forever!", in Cornish.
