Thumbs up from me Mr Wineman!

That time of year where we have to coat the curtains with UV scotchguard & pacify the cows.

I'll be loading up the ute in the mornings before work, grabbing kids straight after school & heading to the beach.

I presume you had a referendum on it??? If so, did people give their reasons as to why they didn't want it?

Global warming; the extra hour of sunlight.

I used to hate it when i worked as a postie.. We'd just start getting up with a bit of daylight ( up at 4am driving at 5ish) and then they'd take it away and living up country you'd get home early & it would be too b hot!
Not so bad now..

I don't like daylight savings either. I wake up when there's sun outside, and I go from waking up early, to waking up late again when DLS starts.

I can't do anything with the extra daylight hours either, as by the time I get home, there is not that much time left before it gets dark.

I guess its different if you have a job where you can be home by 5 or 6pm. You lucky buggers that have these type of jobs will no doubt love DLS. I guess in Wineman's case, getting home and then going for a sail early is not that difficult.

On the other hand, one thing WA does normally have is WIND! Woo hoo! Only 12 more weeks until I am in WA for the annual windsurfing holiday! More sailing in 3 weeks than I get for the rest of the year, and no need to drive through lots of traffic.

I hope the weather this year for both WA and NSW is back to nice strong seabreezes.

I'm probably the only person on the East Coast that is dreading DLS. I start work at 6 pm, so with DLS I gotta be off the water right when the sea breeze is really kicking in . Might have to re-arange my roster a little

Whether you like it all depends on what hours you work and where you live..I think it's deisgned for people working 9-5pm that live on the coast.

Daylight savings is awesome when you knock off work at 3 pm and can take you kit to work with you - 15 min to get to Kyemaagh and on the water by 4 :)
Extra hour of sailing rocks :)
