I am helping the whitewater paddling people by building a mobile slalom course. (We will use on Collie River and other places). We have gates and cord, but need some supports to put on the banks. Testing proves that the perfect thing is an old 1/2 mast - broken and split ones are fine, as we can cut them. Carbon, glass, Al, are all ok! If anyone has any can they *please* email rob dot wall at pobox.com or call Rob on 042 7774974 - the kids will thank you :) We have very little budget, so are hoping for free or almost free ones...

Where is the Collie River? Does it rise from the mountains in the background of your profile pic? Why not just use PWS?
