Old Sunshine mast foot - how to thread it?

Hi, Anyone have one of these mast foots.
I'm wondering if there is a proper way to thread the downhaul on them. I want to start the threading from the base.
If anyone has a pic that would be awesome.

Dear Mattn,
I have some photographs for you. I hope it can help you.This base is very old,I don't use it anymore. ?t is my first surf equipment's base which is Fanatic and ART combination. Year 1988. Bye.
