Sure is!!!

The box trailer was professionally built but the Thunderbird-2 style windsurfing box is all my creation.

Looks awesome. How did you secure the body to the trailer? I can only see those short lengths of U channel...
And what is the reason for the back door to fold down instead of up? I find that going up could offer some protection from rain and sunshine...

6 x 20cm lengths of U channel give load distribution and side to side restraint on the side walls of the trailer box. 2 more u channels on the front wall of the trailer box, plus the front legs that bear on the drawbar give forward-aft restraint. 4 x cam lock straps ensure the box is pulled down tight at all times and cannot bounce (unlikely given it's weight).

3 reasons for the bottom hinged tailgate: 1. It allows the top and side panelling to extend past the tailgate so that water accumulating on the roof and blown/draining backwards doesn't enter the box but drains out over/past the tailgate. 2 I've lined the box with vinyl to prevent salty water contacting the steelwork. The bottom hinge makes it easier to keep this vinyl hemmed up the tailgate so as to entrap any water. 3. Didn't really want the hassle of gas struts. I agree, a bit of shade/shelter would be nice on some days!

Well done Eckas. Obviously styled in the Steel City. Looks to be one of the best, if not the longest... Big Al? Here's one styled in Tar Sand City Montreal.

Believe it or not, it carries an 11'11" SUP, a 110cm wide starboard START and a 100cm wide formula.

However, I think Al's would be longer...

Nice, very nice. Great new look instead of the traditional white ACP. Bonus marks for being all stickered up for launch.

That makes three new windsurfing trailers in the Illawarra region in the last week. Clearly we are to blame for the lack of wind.

Beautiful work Al! Intriguing to see the 'bones' beneath the skin. Just as well there is plenty of room at Primbee, with all these Illawarra Speedsters (and Gustbusters) with trailers.
