I just bought two boards and 3 masts with sails. I have always wanted to try windsurfing and I found these used for what I thought was good deal. I am needing help on knowing what I need to attach the mast to the board!?!

thank you

I hope that "good deal" meant "free".

Unfortunately you purchased very old gear that no one carries or manufacturers parts for anymore. If you're lucky, you may come across someone who has what you're looking for, but that could be a needle in a haystack find. Hate to spoil your excitement on your purchase. If your purchase had everything complete, that would be a different story, but still, if anything breaks, good luck finding parts for your gear.

C, mon all is not lost,
With a little thinking and not much skill both boards can be fixed.
Both boards have a t slot kind of arrangement going on,
Even with only hacksaw and angle grinder skills it would not be hard to make a t shaped brass slug with an 8 mm tapped hole to fit all new mast base joins.
If what I said didn't make sense I'm sure the neighbour with tools will be able to do this over a couple beers.
Just wont be adjustable while your riding. Unless your racing it wont matter , all the way back

The rubber bendy thing needs to be replaced,
Go to a windsurf shop with your mast and get a second hand mast ext and base , $ 40 tops.
ps , if u can get a lesson ( one will do ), that's the best $ 50.00 you'll spend.

Caveat emptor and all that, and the seller may not have known any better either, but people who deliberately peddle junk to novices should be drawn and quartered.

I agree that the uni needs replacing, but I have a feeling those masts will be the old 46mm dia, and no shop sells those these days. Some shops have a secondhand bin of ancient stuff that may fit.

i HATE those old twisty on type mast bases
luckily for you one of those tracks looks like my previous Mistral Equipe I
and this is what I did with the track in order to use a "modern" Chinook type mast base
.

lesson here: when buying older gear , have seller show you HOW to put it all together
ideally have someone with you who has windsurfed before and has an idea about older stuff
and I usually give one free session to get the newbie going on the water !!!
