Can someone please suggest to me a 6m freeride sail that has power to spare and works really well on a sdm mast? Mainly will be using in bump and jump so needs a really good bottom and midrange, not so much top end.
Im on the heavier side of the scale (96kg atm) and am going back to using sdm masts for my 6m+above sails.
No gaastra or neil pryde please as my masts arnt suitable for these types of sails.

Anyone under 90kg pleasse dont reply :P

Loft 02's freeride are reasonable and light. 6.4 and 7.4 rig on a 460.

DP I see on your profile you have a 6.6 O2 with a rdm for sale, what was wrong with them, just wondering nothing else.

Nothings wrong with them at all, they are good all round performing sails. Just been experimenting lately and have found I like the feeling of a sdm in my 6m+ sails.

My gut feeling is that the loft o2's are designed more for rdms than sdms, you can use either on them I know, but they seem to rig up better on the rdm's imo. Im trying to go the other way and find a sail that really suits a sdm more so than a rdm ( I hope this makes sense?)

I've only had KA sails for the last 5 years so can only advise on those. In the size range you want I've had the Kult, Koyote and Koncept. Each one in that order is a step up in bottom end power AND top end range, just depends what kind of free riding you do. The Koyote was wicked for bump and jump if you aren't wanting to do any wave riding or tricks. Extra speed over the Kult to jump higher and still x-ply for durability.

Mark. I would stick with RDM's as they are more durable than SDM's. The rate you break gear. "I'm just saying.."

Fair enough DP, I've never used a sdm with my lofts so I can't compare
I've gone away from my Blade as my main sail and now have a Switchblade, very happy with it and no regrets, even though it has a wider luff pocket than a O2 I can't honestly give an opinion re sdm's and Switchblades, happy hunting
