On a related note, see what Ellison's doing with the America's Cup:

If they had another camera or at least a stronger zoom, then the coverage would have been even better....Just shows how far internet coverage has come though....
The action was non-stop....really entertaining.
The guys are working on the quality but I guess it comes down to money and seeing the PWA are scraping the bottom of the barrrel to keep some events going its better to have something I think then nothing at all.
the racing certinaly is first class and what a great venue too. Each heat is really close and there is no one dominanting the farily flat gusty conditions.
Jesper seems to be either having a shocker or or the rest of field are just too good. I presume its the former because Jesper is by no means a slouch! He leaves 99% of West Aussies for dead, so that gives you a pretty good idea just how high calibre these guys are... Lockwood would clean them all up though... easily ![]()
Are you OK Jesper?!
Geez AA is on fire - 5 bullets from 7.
Elimination 8 heat 1 has just started. Looks very windy too. I'll take that back as Ben? just said it's about 12 -18knots
Jesper did not have a great first day with a PMS and 2 crashes. This is no rules Slalom so a bit of contact happens and he has been taken out a couple of times when he has been doing well. Pretty ruthless stuff but good to watch.
It is also super tight racing where a poor start means you are stuffed and one slightly average jibe will cost you places. I watched one race where Jesper was comfortably 4th with good speed and looked like he was going to qualify , went slightly wide at the last buoy and dropped 2 places just like that. The standard of sailing is amazing.
