I broke a super x 106 in half after practicing jumping with it, i jump only knee high (distance of the actual board from the water). During all my practice I had i guess around 3 not so good flat landings...

Is this normal? Or does this indicate that the board was already weak/beaten before I started using it? (i bought it second hand a few months ago -I could not see any damage then)

Jan it could have been jumped hard before you got it. One flat landing from 15ft could have cracked it almost right thru and then it was fine on flat water for years then it lets go.

Or - Super-X competition involved forward loops in the middle of slalom competition so basically competitors wanted to land planing out of their loops and the boards slapped the water really hard. If it was sailed in Super-X comp by a good sailor that could have been enough.

Or it could be a manufacturing fault and then just lots of little jumps, the numbers of boards with glass not fully wet out with resin is amazing (atrocious).
