Grant's family are keen to work together with us (flyers, windsurfers, friends) to give Grant the best send off we can.
Details have not been fully determined yet, but so far it looks something like the following:
- there will be no funeral as such
- we will all gather at a local flying site (Warnbro, Cottesloe perhaps) for a tribute to Grant where those that want to can say some words
- we will then gather at a function room or suchlike close by (yet to be determined)
- it will most likely be Saturday or Sunday 15-16.
If anybody has any ideas or suggestions for the ceremony, the venue or anything else they would be most welcome
I'll forward this to the yakfishwest site. Its members also knew Grant for his fishing expeditions and had their own thread going earlier this week.
Hey Shan, Juso mentioned he would like to organise a paddle out as well for him. That could work well at cott or maybe another time at Scarbs
