Thumbs Up

Hi all. I am new to windsurfing and love vintage stuff, so have started out with an old Wayler 3.8mt board, 5.9 sail (original) and another smaller i think around 4.5-5mt sail.

Well I got on the plane for the first time on sunday out at Beachmere not for long though as I hit a bloody sand bar lol. I am really hooked. For a low income earner with little savings and a 4yo child i dont get to spend much money very often. So a $50 outlay on this board has been a great investment.

I have also gotten some mates of mine into Windsurfing one has just bought a Bombora Proto with 2 sail. and i have also just purchased with some friends a HYFLY 500sc also with 6.0mt sail and a 4.5-5mt sail? Both old setups but we have to start somewhere im guessing lol.

I would like to say you guys and girls make it look so easy, but i am unfit so it is exercise i have been needing for a long time. I would love to catch up with some of you one day. We are all heading to Lake Cootharaba on the 7th October for some lessons to help pave our way.

Anyways I am really looking forward to moving up in this hobby/sport thanks all

Damien
