Just bought both. Can't for the f*****g life of me get the flymount to connect to the camera. I feel like there's a connector missing. Of course, I can't find where I left the instruction book that came with the flymount.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks Sean - looks like I am missing the connector the sits between the camera casing and the flymount. Didn't come with the flymount, did you buy it separately?

My flymount arrived without adapter but retailer promptly shipped me the adapter after I let them know (great service that is rare in this industry).

Big thumbs up from me for flymount, on first or second outing I ran aground at 34knots, damaged fin, board, mastbase, extension, sail, destroyed boom & harness. Flymount/gopro was mounted at mast tip, hit bottom & survived fine.

Biggest criticism is weight of flymount but they are a quality bit of kit & worth every cent.

Got to say the Flymount guys are absolutely amazing with customer service. I've had several of them and used them extensively and any issues they have replaced instantly no question, postage paid and arrived here in NZ from UK almost quicker than their reply emails! It may be a little heavier, but is way more flexible than others for different angles.
The new versions come with gopro mount I think, previous versions had a more 'any cam' fitting and the gopro attachment was an accessory.

Hey Jerry, this was from last summer! Someone dragged it up to promote their product. See you on the water.

The first gen flymounts didn't come with an adapter, you needed to buy the tripod mount for it. Cheap off eBay or you can get it at any gopro stockist. I've got both and there is no real difference that I can tell.
