A Kitesurfer trying to impress three girls(who clearly aren't interested) while being up-wind of a surfer and 2 windsurfers, next thing female surfer and 2 windsurfers gets mauled by and out-of-control kitesurfer... Seems fair to put up a warning sign...

^^^I thought it looked more like a kiter went to the beach with 3 chicks watching
as he is insecure and needs people watching to validate his belief that he is cool.
His girlfriends holds his board as he struggles to self launch and hold his kite bar.

Meanwhile, down the beach a windsurfer who needs no such reinforcement, nor a 2 person
launch or landing, walks to the water and a passer-by says " hey that looks cool
I saw all you guys out yesterday as the kiters went home when it kit 25kn"

Wow. You guys sure can read a lot into one little sign. furtile imaginations.

Must be from the rush you get from the evening medication between supper and bedtime in the nursing home.

Mark I can't help noticing you have mentioned Kiting in maybe 90% of your posts in the last month.

I can see right through your kiterphobic facade.

Admit it. Your thinking about it all the time now aren't you.

Happy to mock it from a distance, yet too afraid to get close, too afraid to fly one because deep down you know you might just like it. Hell, your going to love it. Your getting hard just thinking about it.

Yep, you can imagine the power. The feeling of awesomeness that being connected to the sky can give. You know your big floaty board joined up to your little wee sail are going to feel quite pathetic after you cross to the darkside and that scares you doesn't it?

Yes Marky, I can tell. I've seen it happen too many times allready. The more you resist the more the seduction process evolves. Your too far gone mate. Give yourself to the darkside. Its the only way to make the pain go away.

Actually I think he said, "I see you have the wrong size sail up and had to walk back up the beach again, can I help you carry that? Kiting looks like more fun, they have been out for hours, since the sea breeze first came in, they must be exhausted, look they are all going home."

Go have a look at any skatepark, heaps more scooters than skateboards , all the liitle kids riding them cause there easier require less skills and they can learn a few basic tricks in no time at all and can go home thinking their pretty cool.

Thats what you kiters are - the scooter nerds of the surfing world

By the way the 3 females in the picture. Ones your mum, the others your aunty and the last one is your big sister. They are there to make sure you dont scratch a knee or bump your head or worse yet stop those two big boys on windsurfers from teasing you.

This love-hate thing is getting a bit tedious. Poleys are no tougher because they can hang on and stay out longer when it is +25 knots. Odds on the kiters were already out an hour earlier while you we're still waiting for it to pick up. Who cares.

And go to the skate park, the kid on the scooter still has a fkn big smile on his face.

Sorry I couldn't get back to this sooner Marky, thing is I found a bit of wind this arvo so I had a bit of a wavesail sesh. Then the blonde I'm hooked up with ATM wanted a bit of entertainment so I been a little busy.

Mate that picture I posted was right there on the link in this thread. I just joined in on what you call a p!ss take.

The funny thing is that not one kiter has posted on this thread. I made a post to try and get you to "come out" of the kiter closet and people got sucked in. Thats how easy it is.

How the hell does anybody thinking straight get off on a hardcore sailboard sesh and then turn their nose up at kiting. Its just another dimention of watersport. People who do this are purists and I target them for ridicule. especially elderly ones.

One dudes calling kites the scooters of the sea because its so easy to learn. OK maybe, Took me 3 weeks from start to be carve and duck gybing on a sailboard and 4 Hours to get to the same point with a kite. So what. The sad thing is that this thread www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/General/Gybe-and-Tack-Success-Rate/ people are confessing to not being able to do really basic stuff after 10 or more years. They wallow around year after year and ridicule alternatives because of a one track thought pattern and thats lame. As long as their having fun, or think they are.

And Marky, the poor little blighter was 6ft when he was 14. And you still havn't responded to my acusation that you are in fact, a Kitersexual. Come join us Marky. You'll never look back.

Good for you, the testosterone must drip from your pores.
How tall are you now you are 15?

Love how me being interested in kiting would be an "accusation". lol

PS I wanna see the vid of you carve and duck gybing after 3 weeks. Cos there would be some on your sponsors web pages or something?

Thats more like it.

Not very nice are you. Talking tough like that when you claim to kite in your profile. must be confusing for you, sort of like a kiterphobic kitersexual.

Maybe I might cruise down to Rockingham and see what you got.

Marky you still have not either confirmed or denied my accusation.

Getting Gybing sussed after 15 professional lessons in Maui is not hard.

Most people making it that far are carving.

maybe thats the problem in OZ. I havn't seen anyone teaching windsurfing professionally here. That would explain why we see so many people with so many bad habits.

Gag reflex, Ha thats funny.

I'm still laughing about the crumbed sausage impersonation comment you made a couple of weeks ago. Thats awesome.

Hope you don't mind I have been using that material.

Its coming into focus now. Your problem is not with kiting, its with kiters. Correct?

I am glad somebody appreciates my warped shizit. But stop it, you are making us look like we are in a bromance or something.

I have no problem with kiting, or kiters.

I have a problem with a few things related to kiting but it is a GenY c0ckhead thing, or "never been on the water so have no clue about ROW rules" kinda thing, and unfortunately kiting just has more of them as it is the latest and greatest.

If I win the 70mil on Tuesday I will take up kiting. But I will also have a $30K spend on windsurfing, a mil on cars and a good $10K on miscellaneous watersports stuff like surfboards and SUPs. Wavesailing will still be it though - there is no other.

I have just re-read my posts and have no idea how you come to the conclusion I'm bagging windsurfing. I'm not. If anything I'm bagging the baggers.

My father is a hardcore wavesailor. He paid for the lessons.

Lets say its cranking 25-30kts cross off. Its a solid 6-8ft peeling heavilly. In those circumstances nothing comes close to smashing that with wavesailing equipment. That is beyond any doubt.

On the other hand lets say its a crappy 13-18kts. straight onshore with a mushy 3-4ft slop. That is when a kite and a ordinary surfboard kills it. I only just found that out a month ago myself.

Anything offshore and 3ft and over, I'll hit that with a 6'4 Firewire.

Marky I know what your talking about in your last post. I have the same issue with retired dudes who can hardly swim with brand new SUP's in crowded point breaks.

And where are you taking me when you get the 70 mill?

I like Italian and Mexican.
