Hey all. I have ordered some new sails which have the clew cut outs and cross batten/boom design. A lot of the main brands have gone this way, but wonder if there is much gained other than less mast or luff length. The booms don't appear to be much shorter as they now run diagonal. So what can i expect ?

Will my stance need to be different ?
Will harness lengths change ?
Will rotation gybing be better/faster ?
Are they any faster ?

What are your experiences ?

Boom runs diagonal? Are you sure - I thought they were just the same but the batten was not horizontal.

I love the boom cutout, for wavesailors it is nice to be able to squeeze a 6.2m on the same boom
