So, a few days after washing my sail on the lawn, I see this somewhat familiar shape...
I began to wonder, was the salt killing the grass? But that didn't explain the pattern so much, or that there wasn't THAT much salt...
It looked more like when you leave something covering grass for too long. But it wasn't there nearly long enough, and anyway, it wouldn't die there, where thereWASNT shade...
So I finally came to my last idea... Did I cook the grass though the clear of my sail???
Has anyone else had this?
Yes you cooked the grass.
The sail acts as a glass house, specially if the panels are clear.
If it was salt, or anything else, the battens would not be so clearly marked.
You can kill grass on a hot day just by driving over it with hot tyres.
Whee! Lots of learning in little time! :D
Weeelll I didn't leave it to dry in the sun, as such. It was just sunny when it was drying. But thank you and duly noted. No sun drying, more mowing, and no hot tyres on the grass :)
Thanks guys!
