1 Gather geolocation and time of every windsurfing session globally for a few years... optionally marking good sessions as green and ok as amber (potential either by mining twitter, facebook or some other source)
2 Gather isobars data for same period
3 Plot them both onto google earth in an animation that runs at 1 day a minute. Set view point to be midday and spin earth. People on west of map out in morning, people on east of map out in afternoon. Interactions of isobars tightening and sessions popping up would be pretty cool.
I think 2 is available pretty easily. It's whether you can assemble 1?
gps data from the gps team challenge would probably give you 1... plus those dudes love to list what gear they used as well.
KA72 automatically logs location you sailed (and within downloaded files) the time of day you sailed. I'm positive someone as smart as Dylan would be able to collate this info. Of course someone as smart as Dylan might have other pressing things to attend to as well. ![]()
