Remember this fantastic event
I think Sven Rasmussen (spelling ?) won the pros

I remember the Peter Jackson event here in Perth..Scarborough...or City Beach..not sure. My stepdad Barry Sorensen competed..I nicked his event vest when I was a grom..

I remember it. Unfortunately what I remember is losing my centreboard pivot when (IIRC) running about 10th in the final in Sydney!

I remember lieing about my age so I could go in it. I think you had to be over 18 cause it was sponsored by a cig company. they had PJ promo girls walking around giving away cigs to the crowd Not much wind for the event on the sunshine coast but I was about 50kgso it suited me.Lemans start with a mass of windsurfers.great fun.

Yeah, remember sailing in the PJ Bluewater Classic at Elwood around that time on a 1987 F2 Lightning Raceboard (may have been a few years later than 87 event as I had sailed the board quite a bit beforehand). Memorable in that I had mostly sailed the Lightning on an inland lake with very little experience out on the bay and I did spend quite a bit of time in the water due to my relative inexperience as well as the non-skid being pretty slippery! Also think I recall JP himself blitzing the field in the slalom event.
