So time to setup board/sail/gear storage in new place.

For 100L +85L, 3 sails, 1 mast and acc.

Any pics of how you did it, materials used?

Your help appreciated

I used 2x4 timber and wooden broom handles (way cheaper than dowel). Connected timber to wall (along the 2 inch edge) then drilled holes at into timber and knocked the broom handles into the holes. Has so far lasted 4 years and I take it with me when I move to new rental accommodation.

Racked enough for 6 boards, would have cost less than $50.

In amongst the mess you can just about see the racks! They even (just) hold a Mistral One Design!

Rack under the house suspended by floor beams. Very easy, made out of old fence palings.

If you have the height I reckon standing boards up takes up space

Heres an old rack i knocked up out of my old bed,

i put some small wheels from an old bedside table so it can wheel out and i can sweep it up etc.
i screwed the hell out of it too.
also bought some marine carpet from bunnings to put on the bed slats just to make things a bit more board friendly.
the whole rack cost me $7.50

Just make sure if they are on cement to pad under the tail - piece of thick esky foam or even a thick folder towel..

Loving the ingenuity and cheap solutions, interesting all the different takes on storage for rapid deployment.
Restricted by height to horizontal stacking.
Considering mixing a few of those ideas to get a offcuts + broom handle relocatable one on wheels.

Since selling the kites I've been able to expand the windsurfing collection. Do like the vertical hangers for smaller boards and booms utilising wall space and still leaving plenty of room for car access.

So you have a hook or something to go through the footstraps on the boards?

Yep, looks like I need to get a squirt of fisholine onto that.
