My old Gun 7.5 is about to die and I would like some opinions as to what is considered the best no cam free ride sail of a similar size . I'm considering Loft O2 7.4. North X type 7.3, Hellcat 7.2.Simmer , Naish Rally
I'm of the opinion their performance characteristics for my level are fairly close to cammed sails but what to choose , something with low down grunt and good top end.

Just my opinion, not sponsored (I wish) :

Hellcat (just like a race sail but with no cams) incredible low end power, never stops accelerating.

Tried the O2 (now called oxygen) : heavier due to very solid construction, not as quick. looks good !

Hellcat was rated the fastest in 2011 wind mag test

IMO as a moderate skilled (non sponsored) sailor - Tushingham T4's are worth a look...and even consider the Tushingham 2 cam Lightning if you want something halfway between performance cam and no cams.

The best bit about the Lightnings is that they have a small mast pocket and aren't as hard as other cam sails to get out of the water.

Only prob is I don't know where you can get the Tushies over East. I bought mine (new) from Secondwind in Perth WA.

Severne NCX also a good no cam freeride sail and the people I know who have sailed them liked them.

Have both, Hellcat and Loft 02's.
Hellcat as Sean indicates never stops accelerating
Loft good fun, and nice to use, but Hellcat wins easy for me.
