After kiting for the last few seasons I finally bought some new windsurfing gear. I haven't had a sail in ages after busting some gear a few seasons ago. Got out today for a couple of hours. I was surprised I still sailed pretty well. Thought I was going to be a bit of a muppet !! Forgot how much I enjoy sailing. A bit sore but pretty stoked!!

Ha ha. I've already had some 'I told you so' from some mates.

The body doesn't forget, it just gets older and slower! Enjoy your renaissance.

That cutback in your avatar would look radical with a sail instead of a kite!

Yeah I never really wanted to stop sailing but after breaking some gear I never replaced it and just kept kiting. I had a ball yesterday I was really stoked so I think I'm going to love this season back sailing!!

Where did you go windsurfing? Are you planning to kite and windsurf? A few people do this and to me it looks like the sports can complement each other quite well.

I windsurf at Gerroa or Shoalhaven heads. But just went out on the lake yesterday to make sure I could still sail. I will still kite, I live in Wollongong so sometimes it's a bit fickle up here to windsurf.
