Exciting news for the ACT Gustbusters (a NSW GPS Teams Challenge team) and for the Stormriders NSW Windsurfing Club being that one of their members, 11 year old Alex Halank has ranked No 1 in the world in 2012 in his division (under 13s) of the GPS Teams Challenge.

December saw the lead change in the overall ranking 5 times between Alex and Scotty (from the UK) with both kids putting in an awesome effort and achieving PBs session after session. Alex ended up achieving more than 100 km distance in one day which is an all time record for his age division. He also holds the all time record for speed over a nautical mile.

Good one Keef. Here, here! Good onya Alex. I like that photo. Nice board trim, good stance, just need to get it all a bit closer to the water.
