Grants farewell send off will be this weekend (Sat)and the number of people attending are needed to book a venue. If you would like to attend please post your name along with names of people you know who will also be attending. Correct names are needed to get accurate numbers. Hello to all of Grants friends and his family,
Over the past few days we have been making arrangements for Grants memorial and It is a pleasure to announce that a venue is finalised and booked for Saturday the 15th of May, this weekend!

The proceedings at this stage...
10:30 am Meet at Cottesloe flying site. Corner Marine Parade and Curtin Avenue , Cottesloe.
11:00 am The Yakfishers/Windies and friends will paddle out with half of grants ashes. You can participate if you wish and would be very welcome.
11:20 am The Hangies will release Grant from the hill at the same time as the water folk.
This way he is in our memories in the air and in the sea.
12:30 Meet at Salt on the beach (5 mins away) for a remembrance feast and a drink or three.
14:30 Either stay on at Salt or depart for home
Participating:
Bring along your watercraft if you wish to paddle out and be part of releasing Grant into the sea. Paddle out is at 11 am
Hangies, some of us will be putting our gliders on the roof as a symbolic black arm band. This is an old time tradition.
Parking at Marine Parade can be a challenge so arrive a little earlier just in case.
