It looks like he is riding a formula board, which I contend if an excellent platform for foiling. Lightweight, strong finbox, floaty.

If you foil strapless, then the outboard footstraps on a typical formula board are not a problem. The video does not show feet, but it looks like he is standing upright and probably has feet inboard. This works on a formula board just fine. I foil in three old formula boards. They work fine.

Since he seems to be a racer (sail number), it is no surprise to see the adjustable outhaul. I won't go on the water without one, even for small sails.

SB 161 formula board. Agree the foot strap position is not ideal.
Have removed back straps as they are too far back and close to the rail.
Might reposition them to suit my foiling stance.
Have also reinforced the fin box.

Was using my Ezzy wave sails initially and they were fine, but am now experimenting with my Demon VG7 race board sails.
