I saw this thread on the Exocet RF91 foilboard, but could not reply as apparently archived: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Foiling/Exocet-RF91-Foil-Board?page=1

Anyone with more experience with this board?

What style of foiling is it best suited for?
Level?
Small, large sails?

Any info on this board is much appreciated!

Hi, I still have this board and love it. Initially I used it with a naish free ride foil when learning and have now moved to a starboard race. In my opinion it works well with both types. It suits larger sails.

hope this helps.

Hey thanks! great to hear this! Perhaps a silly question but how is the weight? I heard the 91 AST is about 9 kg heavy? Does it feel slow and heavy while foiling? Have you compared it to other foilboards?

There is a forum for NW US in iWindsurf.com site. Windance in HR sells this board; perhaps you get a response from there.

I looked at this board before I bought a SS Wizard 150. Below is CoreAS's experience with the board

The board is famous (in France) for its control and rebound from touches, limited strap positions and unfortunately for its difficult start. It takes a lot of effort/speed to start flying. Better go for the new models, they seem to keep the good parts and facilitate an easy takeoff.

Unfortunately only the 71 model is tested (glissattitude), not the bigger ones. Looking at the design better to get a 2020 AST than a 2018/2019 carbon.

Mproject04,

I have an RF91, it's all I have, so not able to compare. Mine is AST. Normally sail in light winds with 7.0 Severne Foil Glide, and I84 foil. It pumps up fine in 8-10knots, takes off without pumping in 10+knots. I am 185lb and a foiling beginner.

Have mostly same set up as CoreAs video, sail mast wayback, front strap 2nd hole from front, back straps in chickenstraps position, my i84 is in C position, with 42rear wing.

I love Foiling this, but don't know any alternative.

Hope this helps.

I have the carbon version and dont find it difficult to get going.8 to 10 knots with 8.5 and away with my82kg. Rounded nose is super helpful at recovering from touch downs. Tne only modifcation I did was to make carbon plates forcthe rear straps so I could be further outboard. The board is a little heavy but have yet to see one fall apart

I have had the RF91 for over a year and really like it. It's the only board I have foiled so no comparisons. I have the SS 84 and sails from 8.5 all the way down to 3.7 sailing in light wind up to cranking. I think it's a great one board option for a super broad range, low price and good durability it's an easy choice. It is heavy but so is the foil and me At 90kg.
