It looks awesome, I'm considering changing by Foil 122 to Foil X 145 for my SuperCruiser foil.

I have had mine since January. I have 6 sessions so far ( I have been working too much). I love it. It has replaced my Wizard 125. I am still using the SS Hoverglide foil (84/42). I am 6'6"/#245 currently. I prefer to freestyle windsurf once the wind is 18mph up, but I don't wait for the wind now, and I have had a few great sunset sessions when the wind has tailed down. I feel it releases faster than my Wizard, I can easily helitack, sail backwinded, and much more easily uphaul it due to the increased volume. It feels just as nimble (and is shorter). Footstraps and mast track were spot on from the beginning. Again, only 6 sessions, and I am still early in my learning curve.

Hi Wsurfn, Wow am I Superstoked to hear your feedback on the SB X145. I have a SS Hoverglide foil ( 76/42) and am waiting to receive my SB X145. I have been using the SS Hoverglide witha Tabou Manta 135 (2010) . I really wanted to get the Wizard 125, however it would have been too expensive to bring it into South Africa at the time ,as their was no SS dealership here. I still need to get the 84 wing as wind it;s very light where I live( (Johannesburg).

I am getting my new Foil X 145 in few days. I do not know when I will be able to enjoy it after the lockdown, though. In the meanwhile, would you please give some update on your increasing experiences with Starboard Foil X 145 and SS Infinity wings?
Did you had to drill wider holes in the original foil box to give way to the 10mm screws needed for the Hoverglide Tuttle adaptor? I also have a i84 to match my 97kg. Which is the range of sails you are using with this combo?

I debated drilling the holes for the 10mm bolts, but chose to use SS inserts with the supplied Starboard bolts. I bought a tuttle box adapter on ebay (looks 3D printed) and ground it down to use as a spacer so there is good contact at the top of the tuttle box and the top of the medium tuttle SS head. So far so good, but not ideal.

I sail mainly in lighter winds, and use a 5.9m2 Freek

foil x 145 + infinity99 made me fly so extremely early!! it was perhaps less than 3 m/s wind.

i love them!!!

Nice demonstration of a light wind set up. I bet you could get by with less sail area if you wanted with you big i99.

i know it. but i set the mast foot to the most backward, and the footstraps to the most backward also.
with the setting, i could ride the starboard foil 122 with infinity99 without so much back foot pressure.

in the above video, i sometimes had to use much back foot pressure, but it was because of so weak wind and the most forward mast foot setting.

because i would like to ride foil x 145 with the similar geometry of foil 122 as possible as i could, i set the mast foot the most forward position. but retrospectively it was not necessary. i should have set it to more backward...

i don't think that infinity99 can be only used with adjustable track mount system. infinity99 can be used with an ordinary tuttle box. it is OK. no problem...

the below video is foil 122(of course, it is with normal tuttle box) and infinity99. my flight was so poor(because i am a beginner...), but i could fly without so much back foot pressure.

Looks like you are ripping pretty good. More proof that the i99 works on any board as long as you compensate by moving the straps and sail mast back to compensate.

Yeah. I find my settings for the 76 and the 99 are too far apart to use both on the on the same board, as I would be moving my straps everytime i switched wing. I think bigger guys can get away with it though

Thanks for the input and for your videos, ameo. Do you mind to tell us your weight? This is an important point when discussing early light wind foiling and back foot pressure. I would like to "translate" your impressions into my 96 kg & 190 cm.

Moreover, I'll be looking forward to any session reports and/or comments on the SB FoilX board from you all.
It will be specially interesting to learn how this board behaves when used with different wings other than the one recommended by Starboard (SB SuperCruiser 1700).

my height is 171 cm and weight is 67 kg.

my previous board was a starboard foil 122. compare to foil 122, foil x 145 is a little sensitive. but not too much sensitive, for a beginner as me.
tack is easier than foil 122.
i cannot do flying gybe, so i don't know about gybe.

once i have tried the shop's super cruiser. personally, i don't like it so much. it did not fly so early...of course, infinity 99 can fly much earlier because of the wide wing area.

it sounds good...

even only rear strapless made me free more. and now i think the front straps are bothering me also, because the distance between the mast foot and the front strap of foil x 145 is so near.

I could have moved the straps on the freestyle 115 back and then run the 76 back in the foil track and run the 99 forward in the foil track. But I loved the set up on the freestyle 115/76 so much that I just purchased a levitator 150 to go with my i99. I like the extra volume for super light wind session.

I run two straps on the freestyle but just front strap on the levi

I could have moved the straps on the freestyle 115 back and then run the 76 back in the foil track and run the 99 forward in the foil track. But I loved the set up on the freestyle 115/76 so much that I just purchased a levitator 150 to go with my i99. I like the extra volume for super light wind session.

I run two straps on the freestyle but just front strap on the levi

in japan, we cannot get any slingshot windfoil boards...i think...

in japan, slingshot is supposed to be a kite dealer...? the authorized dealer in japan is not active about windfoils...i think...i feel very sorry.

Ameo. Look at youtube videos for footstrap sizing. The foot should go in deeper ; ensure the straps are large enough for easy entry/exit.

but my foot straps are already large enough, i think.

as i am scary to be caught by foot straps when catapulting, i always enter my feet not so deep.

and i would like to try no footstraps next time...

I would agree with very large straps. Way larger than those used for wave riding.
