hi all
doing the family holiday thing in july, will be based at kuta beach
my kids and i are competent surfers but not experts



any tips?
gets a bit windy too I think - enough to kite?

been bali plenty + nusa lembongan , telos, sumbawa so ok with the indo thing
looking for tips on boats/cars etc

Yes July is windy and at least one kite school operates at Kuta. SE trades can start early morning (~8AM) and usually by midday are at full strength, can be easily 18-20knts

Due to wind factor options for surfing are narrowed somewhat and you must be prepared to travel and explore well beyond Kuta. Traffic is not an issue so scooters are the norm for getting around if ur from oz. Japs and others rent vans with drivers/guides and travel as a large collective (no surprises there!)

Plenty of surf guides available but have never used one myself.
