For those that havent seen the crazy boards Stu kennedy das been riding lately check out:

tomosurfboards.com/home.html

Since i'm bored at work, I was reading Dan Thomsons Blog.
dantomo.blogspot.com/
I'm now considering buying an old 6'6-6'8 and doing a nose and tail chop. Preferably a board with a bit of volume coz i'm pretty unfit right now an need volume.
Maybe use some paulonia wood on the nose and tail for the reinforcements and reshaping, thus leaving only the most parallel parts of the board.
I was thinking of making a 5'10-6'0 by 19" if possible.

I'm real curious about the tomohawk fins i've seen on the blog too.
Has anyone seen the for sale anyhwere or will i have to try and make my own?

Anyone else have some crazy ideas like this recently?

Bertie try this guy for fins http://www.hanaleifinsystems.com.au/pages/fins/fin_series.html

He'll try to talk you into the Pro Box system to suit as well, which aint a bad thing as it gives you a lot more options than fcs AND takes fcs fins too. Just make sure you follow the install directions to a T.
Fins are beautifully crafted too and bloody good value at about $50 a pair.

I'm riding these at present:

It's a massive amount of fin, has heaps of drive but doesn't track and releases perfectly. I've tried this board with other fin set ups and keep coming back to this, it really is that good. Have a browse through his site, there's some pretty cool stuff there.

Edit* I'm sure Lance will work in FCS base too if that's what you need.
