Bert Burger, grew up in Mandurah Western Australia and has been surfing, designing, innovating and building vacuum sandwich construction surfboards for over 23 years. His philosophy has always been to have the best quality each surfboard can be.
Bert was voted shaper of the year in 2007 and he is the creator of the parabolic rail system, as well as the Firewire technology which existed long before he and Nev started FW. Bert is one easy going guy who loves to share his passion for design and development of surfboards and SUP's.

He doesn't get the same write up when he comes back home. Last time he came for the Long board titles, he came and went before people knew he was here. we want our chance to get a free board over in WA too. I have the Magic carpet and would love to try a few other shapes, the moon fish, the boss, ball and the new CF model.
Mandurah is just not classy enough for Bert to come back to I take it

Have to say I have been a bit hooked on sunova since I demoed a skate (sup) - subsequently also gone onto the 8 ball which is just ludicrous good fun

Event update - The SUNOVA SUP and SURFBOARD DEMO

With all the boards in-store we have 2 options for demo this weekend.

1. This Sunday May at Freshwater SLSC from 7am with Bert.
We will be set up in the grass courtyard just outside the southern side of the club. Best to approach from the rear of the club.

Please bring your own paddle and legrope to this Demo

2. Come by the store TODAY and grab a board to demo on Saturday morning.
You can take your board and surf it wherever you like on Saturday.
These boards MUST be returned to us by Saturday at 5pm

We will be in store at Balmoral Paddlesurf from 5.30pm on Sunday for the Your Own Shaper Event with Bert.

Hope those boards come back on Saturday!
