Just pie in the sky at the moment, but i wonder if the proposed location of the pool might affect sand movement North, and possibly having a detrimental affect on waves between North Scarbs and Trigg?
Personally i'm in favour of lots more Pools, Golf Courses and Public Infrastructure being built in Perth. It promotes jobs, and helps keep kooks away from my local!

Why put a pool next to the ocean? Wouldn one of those ocean pool things be better, least it might improve the waves or make a couple of new ones

From what I heard the pool's proposed location is south of the surf club at Scarborough, which I'm guessing means Brighton, which is obviously a prime spot for windsurfers and kitesurfers. Anybody know how the plans change access and restrictions to sailing at this location?
Geothermally heated for year round entertainment. Seems to be located back from the water too. Yeah, right! Who's going to give up their land?

I guess they'll look to utilise part of the carpark south of the surf club and North of Brighton.
