Hey guys. I've been offered a Lost mini driver for a good price and was wondering if anyone here has had one and if so what was the glassing like. The board in question has the stock glassing (4+4 x 4) which is a little lighter than I'd like so wondering how it'll hold up.

it will hold up just like you think...all my boards are 6....and i notice no difference in performance....but im no pro 
get a local to glass em to last yeeeew
Agree with crispy there. Any custom I get done has 6pz on the deck and are almost bullet proof. Bugger all weight difference.
If its a good price just buy and surf it until it dies. 
its not the glass but the blank you need to worry about. A cheap crap blank is what will cause you problems.
I once made a board in the shed and it's a pig. Paddles like a short board but rides like a long board. Good fun though and I find it is important to find small jobs to do in the shed to keep the mind occupied. Anyway, back on topic, I used 6oz cloth and the thing is rock solid. It has drilled sand bars and even confronted the groyne square on at a short central-metropolitan left. 6oz is Bullet-proof!

true ,but even a bad blank will be better with 6 on it(for a wee bit)......good blank with 6 is delicious

true...my bourton was like that....just ****ing fell apart
Mini drivers are good boards so just buy it... i bought one in firewire tech in feb and it looks well used!!! plenty of dings... a glass board wouldnt be much worse... board in question has been to indo 3 times tho!! Also id reckon the glass one would surf better...
Thanks for all the comments. I know 6oz is the way to go but was just wondering about the build qualit. Guess there's only one way to find out

you'll also find that with modern boards that come off a machine they tend to have to cut deeper into the blank (basically allow a little more fat on the blank to make sure everything is perfect coming off the machine) which gets you closer to the core of the blank where the foam is a little softer.

Still have my Lost rocket from 3 years ago, deck looks like a golf ball, but bottom is still perfect, still my favourite board.
Had a mini driver for an indo trip, glass job seemed to hold up fine,
