It is sually great to see pros in the water
but Had the opportunity to be in water at TI Tree with J w 2 days in row last week

Firstly when he was taking off he would yell out F##k Off to anyone who even looked liked paddling for the same wave when a quick shout of Hey would have worked just as well - saw this at least 4 times

Secondly - guy was on a nice wave and was riding a distance then JW spun around insde him and took off and then proceeded to tell him to F off

Third - While waitng for a wave on the inside would yell **** off whne a guy a longboard was on a wave he wanted to ride

On top of that he had his mates towing him out the back on Jet ski -

So a discussion about his behaviour was had by a few of us that were in the water

Yeah he surfs great but what a poor example for the young kids and he sure lost the respect of us

I am sure his sponsors will be happy to read this

Yeh,the pros on the GC don't go down that road, they are cool and never swear! So JW,may need to learn before someone returns the attitude and things turn ugly! JW,who rides PINK boards to support breast cancer and a great young surfer!
I find it hard to believe!

Maybe you caught him on a bad couple of days................

That said there's no room for attitudes like that on the water but they unfortunetly prevail more often that not.

Watched the surf a bit over the weekend (4 more weeks, just thought I'd point that out) when I had some spare time and was appalled by the maners I saw. I'd like to chock it up to Manly being Manly but people these days act the same way in the surf everywhere else.

I havn't heard of this cat before he sounds like a goose. next time paddle right up to his face then punch him in the mouth and say F**k off. That tends to work. If his mates have a go then give them a bit of the same.

The waves are for all of us and we need to sort the good from the bad sometimes. Education is the only way to let the wayward souls know what they can and can't do.

Good luck hope you catch up with him soon.

F^*&ing jetskis should not be in the water at paddle suring breaks to start with (unless there's a contest - maybe)

I totaly agree. There will be a fatality and then there will be change. jetskis have thier place tow in sufring looks fantastic and opens up all sorts of new horizons but there is no room for them at breaks where crew are sitting and waiting for sets.

The law states in WA that a craft such as boats jetskis are not permitted within 200m of the shore unless in designated areas.

Plus the fact they are noisey and break the soul and harmony of the day. A bit like our friend mentioned above. Another candidate for the smack in the mouth and F**k off program.

add that they have to be over 60m away from swimmers/surfers while towing

the 60 m rule for jetskis does stop me hearing them seeing them or copping the wash on the next waves I am about to catch

_ JW was out there again today spoiling my national park experience

Chadster, i reckon you would be the dik .Julian Wilson is the nicest and most grounded kid with such amazing abilitys.Bet your just a jealous kook who has just blown in form Mackay or somewhere. Why did you not approach him in the water and say something? More than likely cause this is bull****.I was there and their was nothing like what you are saying going on. Yes the jet skis sucked at Tea Tree
